TIRED AND UNINSPIRED

There has been a series of events that taken place over the past few weeks nationwide and personally for me. With everything happening literally at the same time I’ve felt the need to focus on perseverance and self-care. However, I have also felt an obligation to write for Blackademia … mainly because this blog isn’t an independent venture but instead a partnership. So in an effort not to leave my fellow creator hanging for the third week in a row here is a post.

I could write a reflective piece or some call to action around today’s events. I can express my fear, stresses and anxiety due to recent personal circumstances. Instead, I have curated some therapeutic messages and videos that have helped me get through this month. Right now. I’m tired. Unmotivated. Not interested. Uninspired. Disconnected. And in desperate need to take care of myself. Prayer, journaling, meditating, laughing and affirmations are my self-care go tos and today I’ve chosen to share some humor and affirmations below.

In an effort to practice what I teach I’m taking it all a day at a time and a task at a time. If you’ve scrolled and read to this point you’re pretty dope. I hope you watched that David Foster Wallace video. It’s amazing.

Until next time,
